While the little ones were napping today, I mixed up a batch of chocolate-chip cookies. The main difference in this recipe than the normal, is the smaller amounts of sugar, butter, and using mostly whole wheat flour instead of white. ~ I hope you and yours enjoy them as much as we did!
1/2 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 Tablespoon milk
3 eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 tsp salt
1 cup white flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup oatmeal
1 bag chocolate chips
After mixing the ingredients, bake cookies for 8-10 minutes, at 350 degrees!
What are some of your tips for healthy cooking/ baking?

My healthy cookie baking tips... Reduce sugar by experimenting with honey. Reduce oil/butter by replacing with unsweetened applesauce. Sprinkle in a handful of ground flax seed to add nutrional value.
