Caramel Biscotti Bundles

Caramel Biscotti

1 cup butter
2 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup chocolate chips *
[*I used Hershey's special dark baking bar, chopped]


Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.  Add eggs and vanilla, beating until fluffy. 

Add dry ingredients and milk, alternating.

Stir in caramel and chocolate.

Preheat your oven to 350°F.

Form the dough into a log shape, close to 1" in height, on a baking sheet

Bake for 25 minutes, then remove and let cool.

Slice the biscotti into 3/4 inch strips on the diagonal.

Lay the strips on one side and bake for another 10 minutes.

Flip the biscotti over and bake an additional 5 minutes,  cool on rack.

Choose 3 or 4 pieces of biscotti,similar in length. 
Using strips of brown paper, wrap the bundle.
Use lace [twin or any sort of trim] to wrap and bound the paper ends.

These little treats are my new go-to, and are perfect for giving!
